Help
Answers, without the runaround.
The questions hosts and cleaners actually ask. If yours isn't here, message us and a real person answers.
Getting started
- How do I set up my first listing?
- Create an account, add the listing with its address, bedrooms, beds and bathrooms, and TurnProof builds a room-by-room cleaning and inventory checklist for you. Edit any line, then you're ready for your first report.
- Can I reuse a checklist on my other listings?
- Yes. Open the listing whose checklist you like and copy it onto another listing in one step, then adjust the counts.
- What are the two reports for?
- A check-out report records the state a guest left the place in, and a pre-arrival report records the state the next guest walked into. The pair is what makes a claim hard to argue with. Maintenance visits (mowing, gardens, trades) are logged separately.
Cleaners and crews
- Do my cleaners need an account?
- No, and they never will. Each listing has a crew link and access code. Share it, or print the QR card and stick it inside the property. You can reissue the code any time, which instantly stops the old one working.
- What can a crew member see?
- Only the listing they've been given the code for, and only the report they're filling in. They can't see your other listings, your billing or your past reports.
- The crew has no signal at the property. Does it still work?
- Yes. Ticks, notes and counts save on the phone and sync themselves once the connection comes back.
Photos and the 90-day window
- Why can't I upload photos from my gallery?
- Because a gallery photo proves nothing about when it was taken. TurnProof only accepts photos taken through its own camera, and the capture time and fingerprint are written by our server, not the phone.
- What happens after 90 days?
- The photo files are permanently deleted. The report itself — checklist, notes, capture times and photo fingerprints — is kept indefinitely. Download the PDF before the countdown runs out; that file is your permanent archive.
- Is there a limit on photos?
- Fair use is 550 photos per listing per calendar month, which is far more than a normal turnover schedule uses. If a listing reaches it, new photos are declined for the rest of the month but reports can still be finished and locked. Get in touch if you genuinely need more.
Evidence and disputes
- How do I send evidence to Airbnb or Booking.com?
- Open the report and either share the read-only link or download the PDF. For a bigger claim, build a dispute pack for the listing across a date range — every locked report, photo, capture time and fingerprint in one printable document.
- Can I add receipts?
- Yes. Add co-host labour, cleaning and replacement-item receipts to a claim so the pack shows what the damage actually cost you.
- Can a report be changed after it's submitted?
- No. Once submitted, a report is locked — no edits, no replacements, no deletions. That's the whole point.
Billing and refunds
- What does it cost?
- A$9 + GST per listing a month for one listing, dropping to A$7, A$6 and A$5 each as you grow. Pay yearly and you get two months free.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes — a charge can be refunded in full, including GST, within 14 days of that charge. See the refund policy for the detail.
- What happens if I stop paying for a listing?
- Listings beyond what you've paid for lock for you and your crews. Your records and fingerprints stay on file, and unlocking is as simple as covering the listing again.
Referrals
- How does refer and earn work?
- Share your link. The host who joins gets 25% off their first month, and you get 25% off one of your own months for each referral who pays. Credits stack and don't expire.
